Unfortunately, its government has proved its greatest obstacle in recent times, and is largely to blame for the devastating famines.  <\/p>\n<p>Things aren&#8217;t getting any better, and now it&#8217;s in a race with neighbouring Eritrea for the dubious honour of Africa&#8217;s worst rated country as far as press freedom goes.
